The sculpture is constructed after NASA's prototype for a new kind of Mars Rover, which will explore the planet Mars sometime in the future. The prototype takes its shape after the tumbleweed plant, a desert plant which is detached from its roots to be hurled by the wind over great distances.

An iPhone has been installed inside the sculpture and has taken a series of photos while the sculpture was hurled around by the wind in a large red gravel pit on Earth. The photos have then been transferred to 35 mm slides and are presented throug a desk top slide viewer.
